OB60B 5′ Short Olympic Weightlifting Bar – The OB60B by Body Solid is a short 5′ long Olympic weightlifting bar with a black oxide finish and rotating weight sleeves that can be used in residential or commercial gyms. There is a medium diamond knurling pattern and smooth rotating sleeves to prevent torquing of the wrists as you lift. And a 600 lb. weight capacity allows users to pile on the weight plates without fear of bending.

A short Olympic bar can have many advantages over a 7′ Olympic bar. For starters, the overall weight of a 5′ Olympic bar is usually about 15 lbs. lighter than that of a 7′ bar. This is beneficial to those who prefer to begin with a lighter weight for select barbell exercises such as bicep curls. A shorter Olympic bar is also easier to balance than that of a 6′ or 7′ foot bar.
