American Barbell US Made 20KG Hard Chrome Performance Training Bar – U.S. made with one-piece welded ends. American Barbell Olympic bars were originally designed and distributed by GP Industries, and continue to be produced today under the American Barbell brand name with the same industry-respected engineering and commercial quality. Heat treated quench and tempered turned ground and polished high strength steel. The bar shaft is made from precision ground alloy steel with perfect knurl for a sure grip but not rough enough to tear skin. The strength of the shaft is approximately 190,000 PSI tensile strength which is optimum for Olympic lifts. Contrary to other claims a bar with higher tensile strengths is too stiff and will not have the flex (whip) that lifters desire. The bar sleeves are precision welded to eliminate failure. The weld is semi concealed to not interfere with plates resting flush against the sleeve collar. Each sleeve is coated with polished hard chrome for protection against dropping. Sleeves rotate around glass filled Nylon bushings for smooth rotation. Locking shoulder bolt holds ends securely.
