CAP Barbell Olympic Zinc Plated High Hex Bar – The OB-88HC-IS by CAP Barbell is a solid steel zinc plated Olympic style Hex bar, or “trap bar”, with high neutral positioned grips (palms facing each other). The raised handles sit 4″ above the rest of the bar making it easier to pull from the ground and are knurled for a solid grip during the heaviest lifts. The OB-88HZ is a solid, one-piece bar with no moving parts for reduced maintenance and longer life with a rust-resistant zinc finish. An Olympic hex trap bar can be a great addition to garage gyms, school weight rooms, performance centers and commercial gyms.

What exercises can be performed with a Hexagonal Olympic Bar? Use your new hex bar for deadlifts, squats, bent over rows, shrugs, farmers walks and more. Weightlifting with a hex bar feels similar to using dumbbells in that the handles put your hands in a neutral position and keeps them aligned evenly with the body. Many people find this more natural positioning of the hands and arms more comfortable than using a traditional 7′ long Olympic bar and therefore are able to lift more weight and perform more reps leading to better gains.
