SportsArt S959 Seated Leg Curl – The S959 Seated Leg Curl Machine by SportsArt Fitness is a commercial-grade strength machine with selectorized stack which targets and builds strength in the hamstring muscles, glutes (posterior), and hip flexors of the upper legs. The exercise involves putting the body in an upright seated position with back and seat at a fixed backwards angle of 100° which helps alleviate stress on the lower back. Thighs are supported in place by the upper pad to keep the body from lifting off the seat during repetitions. The lower leg is pushed downward in an arcing motion against the roller pad which engages workload by the posterior muscle chain. Resistance is provided by a weight stack which enables the workload to be adjusted to suit each type of user.
